The clarinetist Pamela Coats (USA) has made a name for herself through her diverse performances. She regularly appears as a soloist in various international concert series and participated in numerous projects including performances in: the Carnegie Hall (NYC), the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, the Gasteig in Munich, the Beethovenhaus and Beethovenhalle in Bonn, the Berlin Philharmonic and the Chicago Cultural Center (USA). As an active chamber musician, Pamela Coats has collaborated with various ensembles such as the Canea Quartett Hamburg, the Octans Ensemble (Düsseldorf), the International Chamber Artists (Chicago, USA) and also acts as artistic director of the Sinfonietta VivazzA.

Her orchestral experience includes operas, ballet and symphonic projects such as radio productions of the WDR Musikfest, Deutschlandfunk, National Public Radio (Chicago/New York/North Carolina), Federal Youth Ballet State Opera Hamburg, Rome Festival Orchestra, Deutsche Oper am Rhein, the Gateways Music Festival in Rochester, New York and the Festival International de Musique Saint-Georges in Guadeloupe (Caribbean).

Ms. Coats multimedia solo projects have received grants from the German Orchestra Foundation, the Academy of Arts Berlin and the German Music Council. In 2024, her art film with the visual artist, Ele Runge, “Just another Tuesday” was short-listed by the Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Arts (NYC, USA) for an exhibition in the 2024-2025 season. In 2021, Ms. Coats received a grant from Kulturwerk SH e.V. to develop the art film “Stimmungen eines Fauns” (based on the composition by Ilse Fromm-Michaels) with the artist Ele Runge. In 2022, this art film was selected for the exhibition “HIER & Hier” at the Die Dröstei cultural center (Pinneberg, Germany).
